Emily offers educational assessment and assessment review — helping families make sense of testing, records, and evaluations, and turning what the data says into a clear direction for the student.

About Emily

I've spent my career asking a different question.

Most of education asks, "How do we get students to fit education?" Emily has spent more than twenty years asking the reverse: How can we design education to fit the student?

That question has shaped every chapter of her work — teaching mathematics and English at the secondary and college levels, developing curriculum, building personalized education models, and founding Out of Box Learning to bring flexible, individualized learning to more families.

Along the way, her work has spanned assessment, learning-difference support, curriculum development, and private teaching. These aren't separate careers — they're different vantage points on the same question. Seeing a student completely requires all of them.

Today, her private practice combines personal instruction with broader educational expertise — working with a limited number of students, families, and organizations to design education around the learner.
